How Many Pushups Can Andrew Tate Do?
/Andrew Tate, the confident internet personality with his flashy cars, his non-stop gym rants, and his boasts about discipline and toughness, has built his reputation as a supposedly discipline-and-behavioral-hardbody kind of dude. Amidst all that he discusses—from motivation to masculinity to money—one of his favorite boasts is how many pushups he can do. How many pushups does Andrew Tate actually have in him? Like, in real life, not in front of his camera or in some inspiration clip.
Now, Tate lacks an actual verified Guinness World Record or pushup competition medal to boast. But he does have masses of interviews, posts on Twitter, and podcasts in which he spews out numbers. And based on those, and our knowledge of general athletic performance, we actually can get quite an accurate picture of how many pushups he might actually be doing.

Tate has claimed in multiple clips that he can do over 500 pushups in a single day, often broken up across time. In one post, he said he usually does sets of 100, several times a day. While this sounds like a lot (because it is), it’s technically possible for someone who is in very good shape and used to bodyweight training. Especially if you break it up into chunks across several hours, it’s more of a stamina thing than a pure strength challenge.
Doing 500 pushups spread out during a day is different than doing 500 in a row. Most people, even those who work out regularly, max out around 40 to 60 pushups in a single set before their form starts to suffer. According to the President’s Challenge Adult Fitness Test (yes, that’s a real thing), men in their 30s who can do 30-40 pushups in a row are considered above average.
So if Tate really does 500 a day in sets of 100, that means he’s in pretty solid condition. But it doesn’t necessarily mean he’s doing 500 straight without stopping—which is something he’s never actually shown on camera.
His Kickboxing Background Suggests That High Repetition Workouts Are Something He Has Trained For
Before his rise as an online influencer, Tate was a professional kickboxer with multiple titles under his belt. That kind of sport demands high endurance and full-body conditioning. Pushups are a huge part of most combat athletes’ routines, so it’s realistic to assume that he’s built up serious repetition capacity.
Indeed, most fighters practice bodyweight exercises such as pushups, squats, and sit-ups since they develop lean muscle and are beneficial for speed as well as balance. Most MMA and boxing camps have their combatants performing 200–300 pushups every day, particularly during training camps. Given that Tate fought professionally and remained in shape even in his retired days, his statement of performing hundreds of pushups is not very outlandish.
Although Tate does discuss physical strength extensively and has posted videos of exercise routines, there is not an entire video of him doing all 500 pushups in one sitting. That is not to say he can’t—but we can't confirm he does. Most of what is repeated of his pushup abilities is based on his own statements along with fan reposts.
Nonetheless, his physical stature and athletic background are consistent with his story. At about 6'1" and over 200 pounds with body fat consisting of minimal amounts and with existing muscle tone, Tate looks like someone who is working out daily. The fact that he is working out with bodyweight exercises and calisthenics is also consistent with his reported pushup routine.

Based On What We Know, It’s Likely That Tate Can Do Between 70 And 100 Pushups In One Go And Up To 500 In A Day If Spaced Out
If we put all of this together—the claims, fitness level, and baseline figures—Tate is likely to have at most 70 to 100 pushups in one session before resting. That's still more than most. The notion that he does 500 over an entire day in chunks is plausible if he is indeed working out regularly.
So although we don't know precisely with a referee and a stopwatch, we can pretty confidently say Andrew Tate can perform many pushups. He's not setting records, but he's also not bluffing.
